The Du Lac Hotel has been the property of the Kneschaurek family since 1920. In 1962/3 the old house gave way to the present construction, and 1971 a heatable pool with the considerable size of 33 x 10 m was added.

All rooms have been refurnished, including direct dialing telephone with ISDN plug, safe and cable TV equipment; a Suite has been created. During the winter 1986/7 the ground-floor has been completely rebuilt. A new restaurant "L'Arazzo" (the tapestry) and a Veranda-Bar "Le Petit Point" have been added. Here you will enjoy some of the beautiful tapestries hanging on the walls which were created through the talent and the patient work of C.Kneschaurek senior.

Further on the whole Swimming pool and the terrace area have been renovated and new facilities such as a fitness room, whirlpool, sauna, solarium and massage have been added.

For our 75th anniversary a booklet was edited: 'Sur les ailes de trois générations'. The history of the Kneschaurek family (emigration, beginning, war, re-start, new building, success) combined with the tale of a butterfly which then became the logo of the hotel.
